Negretti & Zambra - London. Rare 'Weather Foreteller' in oak case. c 1915. 
Very rare brass “Weather Foreteller”, in circular oak case, and combining a standard aneroid barometer with engraved silvered brass dial and trimmed in brass, with a variant of Negretti & Zambra’s brass “Weather Forecaster”, which also directs the set hand, and patented in 1915. The forecaster permits as many as 60 possible forecasts to be displayed in the cut-out section. In original condition. Diameter 10.5in. / 26cm. Negretti & Zambra were the foremost Meteorological Instrument makers of the latter 19th and early 20th Centuries, producing a large volume of precision instruments.
