A rare early 20th Century box version of their brass “Weather Forecaster”. [Height 14.5 cm] The instrument, which preceded the more compact circular version, comprises two, independently rotating rings, with two knurled knobs and a side lever enabling data on wind direction and barometer readings to be entered, and revealing one of 26 possible engraved forecasts in the window below. Signed “Negretti & Zambra London. Patent 6276/15”.
