Attractive and well-proportioned mid-19th Century 'flame' mahogany Stick Barometer in original condition. The "ogee" pediment over expertly hand-engraved ivory register plates with rack-and-pinion operated vernier and signed by the makers. The trunk of well-patinated 'flame' mahogany, concealing the original barometer tube which terminates behind turned cistern cover.

An internationally renowned firm of instrument makers, working from premises at 30 High Holborn, London from 1788-1860.
